Corporate laws We have a robust team specializing in litigation and advisory aspects of corporate laws. We have advised and represented several clients before regulators and authorities and have had significant success in such matters. Our Partners have had significant success in both advisory and advocacy in matters of corporate law. Our clients vary from the major telecom players in the country to broadcasting giants. We have also dealt with several infrastructure companies and PSUs.
Our Partners have successfully represented clients in arbitrations and for defending / challenging awards and on litigation strategy from the District Courts up to the Supreme Court.
In the past, we have also engaged in successfully represented the Government of India on national security matters and on defending challenges to change in EXIM policy. We also specialize in counselling and representing various Ministries including Defence, Finance, Urban Development and Law and Justice.
Civil laws We specialize in all aspects of civil litigation and also offer clients advisory services to avoid litigation. Our firm adopts bests practices and three of our partners are litigators. Our litigation team has a cumulative experience of about 40 years. We take pride in defending our clients and try to achieve the same in the best possible time frame. We also dedicate time and energy in helping clients reach an amicable resolution through mediation.
We have also handled arbitrations and original side civil matters including property matters and writs in High Courts and Trial Courts as also commercial disputes, in various fora including the National Company Law Tribunal (‘NCLT’).

Taxation Direct tax
Our team has deep knowledge of the Direct tax laws and have also assisted in corporate restructuring, transaction planning, diligence, contract reviews to name a few. In addition to advisory on various Income tax matters, our team also advises clients on succession planning, real estate contract structuring and disputes, taxation on residents and expatriates, tax implications on domestic and international transactions.
Our clients have entrusted us with providing ground up support – from incorporation, legal compliances and winding up of operations in India.
In addition, we have assisted our clients on cross border transactions, contract drafting, transaction structing, employment contracts, tax assessments and audits.
We also engage substantially with out clients on the Indirect tax front on matters of GST, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy and erstwhile laws. We have also been engaged for advisory and advocacy services. The team has experience in advisory and compliances (returns, health checks, audits and litigation) in Excise, Sales tax / VAT and Service tax, in case of erstwhile regimes.
The team has assisted clients extensively during the transition to GST in quantitative impact analysis, transition process and availing credit. The team has conducted trainings on GST and has personally engaged with clients in resolving day-to-day issues. In addition, the Partner has been personally engaged in GST advocacy matters.
We also engage with our clients on Customs and Foreign Trade Policy matters where we have been given the mandate to assist in obtaining export related scrips and assist in completion of Customs valuation proceedings at the Special Valuation Branch.
